Just Ask Max is an online safety service for families. A platform packed with advice and a team of experts who help parents tackle issues from scammers to screen time to sexting.
Before the rebrand they were called Simple Cyber Life - a functional name that neither reflected the innovative, radically user-friendly nature of their service or their family focus. They needed a brand that parents and investors could buy into. So we went against category norms (like padlocks and guard dogs) to create a brand that’s as unique and friendly as the platform itself.
Though the internet can be scary for parents and children, ultimately it’s an incredible, life-enhancing force. This gave us a simple insight that drove the brand. ’The internet’s amazing, but it’s a jungle out there’.
The brand centres around Max – a strong, wise elephant. We put Max in the logo, using the J as his trunk, then created a cast of creatures to highlight features and benefits.
From an elephantine typeface to a tropical colour palette, everything was jungle-inspired.
